Kinesys at Prolight+Sound Frankfurt 2016

Kinesys will exhibit at Prolight+Sound 2016 in Frankfurt (5th – 8th April) and be located in Hall 3.0 on stand D15 with a totally new stand design, a fresh look and a different feel to illustrate their range of standard and bespoke premium products from the world of automation engineering.

The booth will feature a widescreen video wall and also an exciting new show-reel and product videos. As always the stand will include live movement demonstrating the flexibility and creative scope of products including Kinesys’ winches, as well as the integration between automation and media servers.

A DST trolley system, built by trussing manufacturer LITEC and controlled by Kinesys, will be highlighted on both the Kinesys and LITEC stands. Recent examples of this in action include Mötorhead’s final tour in December 2015, flying their famous bomber and making it more manoeuvrable and versatile than ever before.

Four key standard Kinesys products will also be highlighted – Libra, Elevation, DigiHoist and Velocity2.

Libra is a range of products designed to provide simple and accurate load measurements and monitoring in numerous rigging and load-bearing applications, which are increasingly crucial for all types of live events. The system comprises of three main elements: the load cell – an extremely neat shackle pin design, the power supply, and the viewing / programming software. The Libra system has full connectivity with other Kinesys products allowing load measuring to be integrated into any system.

The ever popular Elevation variable speed controller will be featured on the stand. Designed to be located locally to the chain hoist that it controls, this innovative approach removes the need for large quantities of cabling and permits a number of motors and controllers to be run via single power and data cables.

Kinesys’ DigiHoist motor control system offers fixed speed digital control for chain hoists, complete with safety group functionality in an adaptable and configurable control solution. DigiHoist incorporates all the safety features required to work in group hoist mode and complies with the requirements of D8+. Load monitoring, group stop and self-healing Emergency Stop are all standard DigiHoist features. The controllers can also be expanded to allow accurate positioning of hoists and operation from Kinesys’ control software.

Kinesys’ Velocity 2 drives have been developed to meet the most stringent current safety legislation and SIL3 standards whilst still offering excellent functionality and usability. Available in a range of sizes and voltages these drives can control almost any winch including Kinesys’ multi-function ZF range.
